Open My Heart Lord
From the heart
Honour
Respect
Esteem
Celebrate
What is
Waste no time on
What if…
What’s not
The things I’ve lost
Never had or
Not yet learned
If I accord honour
To the honourable
I open my heart to receive
I Hope in God
I Expect in Him
Lord
Acknowledge All I am
Right Now
I honour God
And all He brings to my life
* The Body Shop campaigning against child slavery
* Able bodied help weeding the garden
* Roasted winter roots, colours, flavours, tastes and textures
Beetroot, Carrots, Parsnips and Onions
* Successful replacement of faulty computer cables
* Wonderful fragrance of curry meeting me in the food hall
* We share a curry that does not disappoint
* I see Roses with new shoots
* I photograph rain drops
* And Find spider shadows
* And a Bird-drop Caterpillar
* I tackle a craft project that fails
* I try again
* And succeed
But
* Sadness dogs me all week
* Brings me to Heart-felt Searching
* And Prayer
* I examine
* I list
* Negatives spring up to blind me
* I cry and plead
* I see Fire and Ice
* My Powerlessness
* But the Word of God…
* Thaws
* Encourages
* Lifts
Here is something I can do
Find the Worth and…
Honour it
So…
Open my Heart Lord
Open my Heart…
