Within the Vine

LISTEN

Then Consider 

 CLEAR CALM

I take a deep breath

Letting it go slowly

I sigh for

Serenity

How I long to escape

The Sorrows

The Pain

 The Sadness

Of Life

For a brief moment the world is still

Before I know it

The generator winds up again

Life spirals out of control

Fear steals

Disappointment deprives

I pray Peace:

Where

‘I must’ becomes ‘Let it go’,

‘I need to’ becomes ‘Let it stand’

Restoration

Return to God and all He offers

I Pray

Holy Spirit

Enable me to Step into

Calm

Clarity

To Stand

In the eye of the Storm

To Rediscover

Again and Again

The Serenity that comes

With confidence in God

Still the hubbub

Allow Tender mercies

To trickle down

From His Throne of Grace

Find the Beauty

Simplicity

Lord, enable me

To See the Clear Calm of your way

To Abide

To Settle

To Know

Here

Being empty is to be full as never before

To learn ‘the unforced rhythms of Grace’
