Wrapping Up Christmas
It is over
Twinkle lights switched off
Boxes dragged to the lounge
Preparing to wrap up Christmas
I reflect on all that has passed
This Christmas
Now to remove
The tree
The decorations
The wreath at the door to welcome
Wrapping them carefully in tissue
Packing all away til next year
I wonder
What else will be packed away until next year?
Christmas cheer
Face worn Well-being and Optimism
Hope
Real post
Real food
Goodwill to all
Merriment
Togetherness
Making way
For others
Family
Friends
Strangers
The chance to wish shopkeepers Happy Christmas
Seeing for a moment the stress of busyness
Give way to a grateful smile
Thinking of others
Giving
Without recognition or thanks
How to keep it going
